Unit 3:  Introduction

Did you know that you had been conjugating verbs in Unit 1& 2?

In Unit 1 you had changed the verb,
"heißen" according to whether you were referring to one person or a group of people, and also whether you were addressing them in a formal or an informal way:

Ich heiße

Du heißt

Ihr heißt

Wir heißen

Wie heißen Sie

Wie heißt du?

Wie heißt ihr?

You should be proud of yourself!

You've learned quite a bit in a very short time!

Conjugating Verbs

Conjugating verbs means your are changing the ending of verbs.

Except for the verbs, "haben" (to have) and "sein" (to be), most German verbs are following the same, predictable pattern in the present tense.

Once you have learned the pattern, it will be easy for you to conjugate other German verbs in the present tense.

What you will learn . . .

1.  You will learn how to properly conjugate verbs in the present tense.
